A Director of the Agency "VICAAR" is Dr. Victor Boyarsky, a famous polar explorer, a member of the International 1989-90 TRANSANTARCTICA dog-sled Expedition and a co-leader of the International Arctic Project expedition 1995, having crossed the Arctic Ocean with dog-sled and canoe from the Russian Arctic via the North Pole to Ward Hunt island (NWT Canada). The personnel consists of the professional scientists and polar explorers - acting as logistics supervisors, lead guides and creators of the programs.
Dr. Victor Boyarsky Director and founder of the Agency "VICAAR" as well as a director of the Russian State Museum of Arctic and Antarctic. Victor has achieved extraordinary success in Polar guiding and is one of the world's best polar explorers. As a scientist he was a leading radioglaciologist of the Arctic Antarctic Research Institute and in 1973-1987 carried out researches in the Arctic and Antarctic . He was a member and co-leader of the numerous international polar expeditions. He crossed Greenland with dogsleds from South to North (1988), was a Russian member in the International Trans-Antarctica dogsled expedition (1989-90),crossed the entire continent of Antarctica by longest way 6,500 km in 7 months, he was a co-leader Trans-Arctic dogsled expedition (1995), crossed the Arctic ocean from Siberia to CAnada. Since 1997 he guided more then 18 successful skiing to the North Pole (last degree) expeditions The personnel consists of the professional scientists and polar explorers - acting as logistics supervisors, lead guides and creators of the programs.
OUR EXPEDITIONS "VICAAR" specializes in services for adventurous people who are intrigued by the mysteries of the Polar regions and want more then just a quick visit. We arrange logistical support services for expeditions, scientific missions, film crews and engineering projects in the Polar regions. We provide all kinds of transportation support, cache positioning, personnel logistics and resupply. Since 1991 we organized several large expeditions: Four filming expeditions to Franz Josef Land (Arctis Nordost Project) for the Austrian Company ORF; Transsibering - Longines ethnographic Expedition which crossed the Arctic Siberia with snow-cats (caterpillars) from Ob' river to Chukhotka; Italian archeological expedition to Franz Josef Land; several Texas A&M University and Conoco, (USA)scientific research ecological expeditions in the Arctic seas, International Arctic Project, Complex archeological expedition to New Siberian Isalnds together with US Company "Rock Foundation" and many others.

Being an official sponsor of this unique museum, "Vicaar" helps the Museum to survive in the conditions of Budget Deficit and even to expand its expositions, international contacts and cooperation.
