Our programs
in Karelia
Karelia is a wonderful region
of Russia to the north from the city of St.Petersburg and bordering
with Finland on the west. Conveniently located not too far
from Petersburg it offers wide variety of activities, both for winter
and summer. Karelian nature is represented by taiga type forests, which
cover over 55% of area. Most of the territory is a combination of hills
and plains, formed during the Eurasian ice age. The
great number of lakes and rivers, parted by rocky slopes, make
Karelia the favorite place to visit among active life style lovers.
Certainly, we could not
overlook such a place in our activity. Therefore, we designed a number
of various programs, depending on season, or clients' needs. In winter,
there are traditional dogsleds and ski tours of different duration. In
summer, you have a choice between trekking, walks on the special cars,
pulled by draught dogs, cycling, rafting and other tours. We may
organize individual and group trips, survival courses, as well as
school or corporative
celebrations. Here we present only few of our possible programs, only
to give you idea of what can you expect. If you are interested, please,
contact us and tell, what exactly would you like to experience, and we
will help.
Apart from the active tours,
we offer a variety of fascinating excursions, suitable both for
children and grown-ups, to different places to see. Among
them, the world-famous complexes of Valaam monastery and Kizhi
wooden arcitecture on Ladoga and Onega Sees islands and Kizhi islands.
And there is a number of less famous, but also very interesting places
around.
